VOLKSWAGEN AQUA HOVERCRAFT CONCEPT

Hovercraft and amphibious car concepts are hardly rare, but we are always ready to see another, simply because IT IS A HOVERCRAFT CAR! The Volkswagen Aqua Hovercraft Concept has been designed by young Chinese artist Yuhan Zhang, and all we think when we see this is James Bond. Picture the Caribbean backdrop, imagine the buxom beauty on the arm, and imagine the Volkswagen Aqua Hovercraft Concept and you have a new 007 movie.

Zhang has gone for a hybrid design that means the main engine is powered by a hydrogen fuel cell, so you will not be clogging up the seas or the roads with pollution. Turbines at the rear control thrust and the individual electric motors allow the craft to be steered on the water, on asphalt, or on just about any other surface for that matter. Of course it looks cool, of course we want one, and of course it will never be built, so cue the sad faces.
